Sorry it has been so long since our last update. I hope you enjoy these new pictures of our little man. Hudson is getting so big. He was 11 weeks old yesterday and will be 3 months old on July 8th. At his 2 month physical he was 9 pounds 14 ounces and I'm sure he is well over 10 pounds now. He is a good little eater. He is sleeping well, also. Last night he slept through the night for the first time! Woohoo! His daddy and I were very excited about this. He is smiling a lot and loves his puppy bouncy seat. He smiles real big when the little puppy moves back and forth.

I have also gone back to work since our last update. It was hard to take Hudson to daycare the first day but we really trust Wendy and Hudson is adjusting well to being there and always seems happy when I pick him up. She keeps him on a really good schedule for us. I miss him during the day and practically run people over to get out the door at 5:00, but it makes the nights even more special. It did make it easier to go back to a job that I love and co-workers that are great!

Anyway...things are great! We are so blessed. Others are not so fortunate. Please check our link to our friends blog "Faith" their daughter was born at 25 weeks and she has been fighting for her life ever since. Every day we are thankful for the gift of a healthy child. Please pray that Faith will be one of God's miracles and that he will heal her and restore her. She is so precious. Also pray for Brian and Jen as they struggle to understand why more and more trials keep coming there way.

Happy Mother's Day!

Yesterday was Mother's Day! What a great day, we get to celebrate our mom's and be thankful that we are blessed enough to be Mother's. What a great honor and responsibility to raise a child that has been loaned to you from God. It is my prayer that we can raise Hudson to be a Godly man, a man with integrity. Today was Hudson's due date and we are so glad he decided to come early, we are amazed every day by the things that he does. He is very alert and very relaxed. Really, the only time he cries is when he is hungry or he has a dirty diaper.

Here are some pictures of Hudson the day he was born! He was 3 1/2 weeks early. He weighed 5 lbs. 11 1/2 oz. and was 18 1/2 inches long. He was little but perfect. He's our little man, and he looks exactly like his Daddy! I will post some more recent pictures pretty soon!

A little about us

Well, after persuading by my brother to start a blog about our family, here it is. I'll start by telling a little about us. Javier and I have been married for 4 years, it will be 5 in July. Javier trains and shows horses professionally and I am a nurse at an office in Evansdale Iowa. We both love our work. We have 3 dogs and a barn full of horses. We have just had our first child, Hudson Dean. He was born April 8, 2007, Easter Sunday! He couldn't have chosen a better day to be born! He is truly a miracle, since the doctors told us that we would not be able to get pregnant on our own. After 2 years of trying and then having fertility treatments with no success we decided that maybe we were supposed to adopt. The very next month after stopping fertility treatments we found out we were pregnant. God blessed us with Hudson! The doctors said there was no way but God had other plans! We are amazed and so thankful every day. That's a little bit about our journey, now Hudson is here and I'm sure we'll have many more stories to tell.
As soon as I figure out how to work this blog better I will post pictures and many more stories. Stay tuned.
